1. This was taken at Bach Elementary School, where I went to school. I took it on the playground, where I spent a lot of my time when I was younger. I really liked the pattern the mulch was in, and it reminded me of an ocean, or a large body of water. I had to lay down on the wet grass to take one of the pictures, but it was worth it. It also reminds me of the Pictured Rocks.
2. These were also taken at Bach. It had just rained, and I wanted to capture the water droplets on the plant. I had to get right next to the plant in order to focus on the water droplets. While the plants might not be the prettiest to look at, I think the water droplets added to it.
3. These were taken in front of my neighbors house. The color and smell of the tree reminded me of my grandparents house, because they have a similar tree. It is right in the driveway, so right when you pull in you can see and smell it. I have many fond memories of my grandparents. Hanging out with my cousins, playing cards with my aunts and uncles, and watching football games with my grandpa.
4. These were taken in the rain garden, near the playground at Bach. The rain garden was planted when I was in 4th grade, but I hadn't seen it since 5th grade. It was really cool to go back and visit it. In fact, my grade were the ones who planted the trees that I photographed. That was also a really cool experience to see that.
5. I took these in my backyard. my dad told me that he thinks they are weeds, and I should pull them up, but I really liked the. Purple is my favorite color, and I also liked the way they looked kind of bubbly. I felt like I could take a toothpick and pop it. I struggled with finding the right angle to capture it the way I wanted to, but I settled for the angle above.
